Swimming and Diving is State Bound

Swimming and Diving is State Bound

Swimming and diving had a successful weekend at their regional meet, with many swimmers and divers with many students performing at the highest level they have all season. The following students are advancing to the state meet in Austin in their divisions:

Ewan Mackie, Cade Thumann, Cole Thumann and Jacob Won will move on in the Boys 400 Freestyle Relay.

Joao Diniz, Ewan Mackie, Cole Thumann and Jacob Won will move on in the Boys 200 Freestyle Relay.

Ana Lucia Garza will move on in the diving division.

Jacob Won will move on in the 200 and 500 Freestyle.

Ali Sippel will move on in the 100 Breaststroke.

 

In addition to the students who are moving on to the state meet, there were many students who met or exceeded school records. The following students tied with or surpassed school records in the division stated.

Ana Lucia Garza- 11 Dive

Cole Thumann- 200 IM and 100 Freestyle

Jacob Won- 500 and 200 Freestyle

Ewan Mackie- 100 Breaststroke

Madison Wong- 200 Freestyle

Trinity Tran- 100 Bacstroke

Trinity Tran, Ali Sippel, Madison Wong, and Mia Norrid- Girls 200 Medley Relay

Ewan Mackie, Cade Thumann, Cole Thumann and Jacob Won- Boys 400 Freestyle Relay

Joao Diniz, Ewan Mackie, Cole Thumann and Jacob Won- Boys 200 Freestyle Relay

Cade Thumann, Christoher Wong, Oscar Guevara Quaglia and Joao Diniz- Boys 200 Meledey

Ali Sippel- 100 Breaststroke

Alongside the student achievements, Coach Kinzbach was named a Girls Coach of the Year for the region.
