Five Journalism students will spend an hour several times throughout the school year helping the students at MayDell Jenks Elementary School establish a magazine. Caroline Hoffmann, Melody Lu, Nicole Ruopp, Gabbie Bacani, and Jared Escobar are the seniors helping out the young students. Jenks Elementary is establishing a magazine and encouraging their students throughout the school to join the program and write articles to incorporate into the newspaper. Along with other requirements, the OTHS journalism program requests that students volunteer in order to gain a cord for graduation. These seniors are preparing them for higher levels of journalism and enjoy helping young students develop writing skills.
