Starbucks is an iconic company, appearing everyday in high schools, everywhere you look you see Starbucks drinks bought at all times of the day. During the winter it can seem impossible to get out of bed and face the cold January air, wishing that you could simply make a latte at home to warm up. Here are some simple and easy drinks to make at home during the frigid winter season.

White Chocolate Mochas are an amazing blend of espresso, white chocolate and classic hot chocolate, creating a modernistic drink that warms and wakes you. All you need to make it is white chocolate chip, espresso, milk and whipped cream. Simply soften 4 tablespoons of white chocolate, add a shot of espresso, then top with frothed milk and whipped cream.

If a drink is wanted at the end of the day or you do not prefer just coffee, Mexican Hot Chocolate is the perfect drink for you and easy to make in large batches for a party. The ingredients for one cup are as follows: 1 tablespoon of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder, ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon,¼ teaspoon of nutmeg, ⅛ teaspoon of cayenne, 6 ounces of coffee, ⅓ cup of milk or half and half, and whipped cream to top. To make, mix sugar, cacao, cinnamon, cayenne and nutmeg in a large mug, then pour in the coffee and milk, lastly top with as much whipped cream as you desire.

London Fogs are for tea lovers who want to spice up their day. To make this hot tea latte, acquire earl gray tea, water and milk. Seep the tea for 5-8 minutes in hot water, while the tea is seeping froth the milk in a small pot or using a milk frother. When the tea is done steeping add the milk to the mug, if you want for flavor add vanilla extract and lavender to the mug as well.

Caramel Macchiatos are another Starbucks specialty with smooth caramel mixed espresso and milk sounds like a match made in heaven or more specifically your kitten. Gather caramel sauce, 1 teaspoon of vanilla syrup, a shot of espresso and ¾ cup of milk in your kitchen. Pour the vanilla syrup in bottom of the mug, froth milk before pouring into the mug as well, add the espresso and top with caramel sauce and enjoy.
