This past weekend, the Academic Decathlon team competed in San Antonio with seniors Dat Nguyen and Winston Zingg placing as bronze medalists and moving on as state finalists for their divisions. Zingg, a member of the Scholastic Team, won bronze in the Economics category and Nguyen, a member of the Honors Team, won his bronze in the Mathematics category. Not only are their Academic Decathlon coaches Jeff Cherry and Dax Nesossi extremely proud of their accomplishments, but so are AP Economics teacher Micheal Clark and Calculus BC teacher Lauri Crestani, who helped Zingg and Nguyen prepare for the competition.
