The girls’ Track and Field program competed really well at the Area Meet where they competed against the top four qualifiers from the District and from a tough Fort Bend ISD. The top four from the Area Meet have qualified for the Region 3 meet this Friday and Saturday.  Top two from the Region will qualify for the State Meet.  The team finished 3rd in the Region which is the best they have ever done:

Discus – Katelyn Anderson – 2nd place – Lauren Robinson – 3rd place – both qualified for Region

Long Jump– Kailei Collins – 5th place

3200m Run – Alyssa Balandran – Area Champ – qualified for Region

4x100m Relay – 3rd place – Tyra White, McKenzie Foster, Marisa Richardson, Kailei Collins – Region

100m Dash – Kailei Collins – 2nd place – Region – McKenzie Foster – 6th place

400m Dash – Jasmin Mitchell – 3rd place – Region

200m Dash – Kailei Collins – 3rd place – Region – Sarah Kirby – 5th place

1600m Run – Alyssa Balandran – 2nd place – Region

At the Region 3 Meet this weekend, they will be competing in: Shot, Discus (2 girls), 3200m Run, 4x100m Relay, 100m Dash, 400m Dash, 200m Dash, and 1600m Run.
