The Tompkins chapter of the HOSA organization competed at the Area 2 conference February 7 and February 8 for the first time in school history, and they will be sending two students to the State competition. It will be in Galveston on April 1-3.
The following six students competed in their respective events:
Emergency Medical Technician: Rufina Michael and Kyle Segura- who earned third place and therefore are advancing to State
Health Career Display: Selina Lu and Jody Cheng
Medical Spelling: Julia Hecht
Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking: Monica Nag
