The junior varsity golf teams competed at the district tournament and soared above the competition with the boys team taking first and the girls team coming in second. The falcons were led by sophomore Sebastian Garza’s score of a 79 and freshman Shane Hatler’s score of an 80. This was the first junior varsity district championship for the boys and second runner up for the girls. Both teams have put in a lot of hard work, perseverance and determination by waking up early for practices, going through TPI workouts and working out during weight room Fridays. Coach Jeff Mudd and Coach Jarrett Simpson are extremely proud of their players’ accomplishments. The varsity district tournament is in two weeks on April 3 and 5 at Blackhorse.
