People eagerly wait for the clock to strike midnight, their fingers continuously refreshing the page that they spent months waiting for its arrival. Excited whispers fill the house as they talk about the newest things, as well as old, that are going to be on the service. A hand raises excitedly drawing everyone closer as they fill out their information to finally get access. Their eyes widen at the sight of the many different selections they could choose from. From childhood memories to newer ones, Disney+ has everything to offer a Disney fan.
Disney+ is a new streaming service devoted to Disney and the many different corporations Disney owns, which include Marvel, Pixar, National Geographic and Star Wars. The service came out on Nov. 12 for $6.99 a month or $69.99 annually. The service offers hundreds of movies and television shows, as well as some new Disney+ originals.
“When getting Disney+ I was most excited for all the Disney Classics that I have not watched yet,” said junior Shaughnessy Dunn. “I am also excited for the Disney channel throwback.”
One unique part of Disney+ is its “Out of the Vault” movies. Most older Disney movies have been kept out of the world of streaming services. Unless you owned the movie or show, you would not be able to find the nostalgic Disney movies anywhere. Because of this, Disney+ is the only place where people can get their Disney fill. With Disney+, you will be able to get the movies and shows in one place for a low price. This Disney vault also includes Disney Channel shows and movies, like Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana.
“My favorite thing about Disney+ is how it has different collections of movies,” said Dunn. “The collections are all set to go for marathons.”
Disney+’s selection reaches many different age ranges. They provide Disney princesses and cartoons in surplus for the enjoyment of the younger viewers, as well as Marvel movies and Star Wars for the older viewers of Disney+. They also have a collection of “Disney Over the Years,” which include Disney productions since the original Mickey Mouse short in 1928. This allows a wide variety of Disney shows and movies from every generation.
“I am also enjoying the new originals they have produced,” said Dunn.
Disney+ also has its collection of Disney+ originals, which include shows like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and The Mandalorian. These shows are updated every week like a regular T.V. show. As well as that, the service also has original movies like the live-action “Lady and the Tramp” and the Christmas movie, Noelle starring Anna Kendrick.
“I share Disney+ with five other people,” said Dunn.
Disney+ allows you to stream up to four at a time on different devices, making it a perfect streaming service for families. You can get Disney+ on your phones, laptops, TV’s and other devices to stream shows wherever you want. Disney+ is a great way to get your Disney favorites on a streaming service where you and your whole family can enjoy.
