At the Area 3 CDE contest the Tompkins FFA Land Judging team placed first in the area and earned a stop at the state competition that will be held April 26. Their first place score also means that they were first in District Seven. The students have worked hard to accomplish this against some tough competition. The team is the only Katy ISD school to make it to state for land judging. They even beat out Klein, who has had a state advancing team every year and advances to nationals most years as well. Congratulations to the following students and their high marks in the competition.
Senior Jack Janik tied for first place and was a high point individual.
Senior Ana Mauney placed seventh.
Senior Jackson Miller placed ninth.
Junior Jake Golden placed 17th.
