Three Tompkins students competed in the Houston Livestock Show Agricultural Mechanics Project Show and each received a blue ribbon for their well crafted projects. The high rank that each student attained attests that their projects were well built and up to a show quality project. Senior Dawson Richburg built a replacement bumper for his Ford Ranger, senior Wyatt Williams built an 18 foot bumper pull trailer with side ramps and senior Jack Janik built a shop table with drawers. All of the students completed their projects in the Tompkins agricultural mechanics shop. Janik won second place in the job fair and was awarded with a welding machine, welding rods and many tools. Richburg and Williams both placed high in their class, but were just short of winnings.
