With the newest Spider-Man installment just around the corner, comes excitement and speculation. How will this film be different from its predecessors? Is another Spider-Man movie even worth watching? When it comes to this movie, no one even remotely interested in Spider-Man would want to miss it.

During its post-production stage, the movie experienced a handful of major leaks, confirming pieces of information that were reported by several outlets months prior. One of the leaks was the two previous Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will be coming back to the big screen to assist Tom Holland’s Peter Parker defeat and return villains from all of their respective universes.

Although it has been hinted at multiple times, Maguire’s and Garfield’s involvement in the film has not been confirmed officially. When Tom Holland was giving fans additional information about tickets, he wanted to bring “two very special people” to help him explain. Eventually, it was revealed that the two people Holland was referring to were two fellow co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. Holland would go on to say, however, that it would make sense for both of the co-stars to be present, rather than anyone else. This was perceived as an obvious hint towards the two former Spider-Men.

Spider-Man’s foes are portrayed by big names, as well. This time around, the villains have been confirmed by the multiple trailers released by Sony and Marvel. Willem Dafoe will return as the Green Goblin, Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, Thomas Haden as Sandman, Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Rhys Ifans as the Lizard. Needless to say, it seems like Spider-Man (or the Spider-Men) will be in for one tough fight.

This will truly be a film that will make history. Some of the most famous Spider-Man actors all coming together in one, canon, multiversal film was something everyone dreamed of when they were a kid. On Dec. 17, it is highly plausible that it will become a sensational reality.
